Dr. Krista Engel is a General Dentist at Fort Rouge Dental Group in Winnipeg
Hi, I’m Dr. Krista Engel-Yeadon, but most of my patients (especially the kids!) call me Dr. Krista. I’m prairie-born and raised. I attended the University of Manitoba for dentistry, followed by a residency at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Although I work with patients of all ages, I especially love working with kids and setting them up for a lifetime of positives experiences at the dentist.
I’m a giant dental nerd; I can’t stop learning more about this wonderful field. I’m a mentor for CEREC (those cool same-day crowns, placed without the goop in your mouth!), plus a member of the Spear Study Club, which has allowed me to develop additional skills to help people with needs ranging from the most basic fillings to advanced reconstructive cases. Creating your ideal smile, whatever that may be is what makes me smile!
I’m a Saskatchewan Roughriders fan. My blood is truly green, and I can’t deny that there may be photos circulating of someone who looks a little like me with a watermelon on their head. I’m married to Brad and we have two energetic kids. When I’m not looking after my one large and two small children, I’m a prairie girl at heart. Trading heels for boots, I like hiking, fishing, hunting and being near a lake with the family. I enjoy cooking and good wine, some of my favourite recipes have been traded with patients, so if you have a recipe you’d be willing to trade for my famous elk meatballs recipe, let me know!
